Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty addresses both discomfort and the appearance of the intimate area. A gentle procedure with a natural result, quick recovery and a lasting effect.
Labiaplasty is an intimate plastic surgery procedure that corrects the shape, size and symmetry of the labia. It addresses labia that are too long, asymmetric or noticeably protruding, which many women find uncomfortable during sport, in tight clothing or during intercourse. The procedure increases comfort, eliminates friction and irritation and often greatly boosts self-confidence in everyday life and in intimacy. We perform labiaplasty with maximum discretion and care and with an emphasis on a natural, functional result.
Who labiaplasty is for
Labiaplasty is sought by women of all ages who experience physical or emotional discomfort because of the shape or size of their labia. The most common reasons include:
- Long or asymmetric labia
- Friction and irritation during sport
- Discomfort or pain during intercourse
- A feeling of embarrassment
- Dissatisfaction with the appearance of the intimate area
The changes may be congenital or appear after childbirth, hormonal changes or with age. The procedure is suitable for women who have finished growing (usually from 18).
How labiaplasty is performed
The procedure is performed under analgosedation — the client stays relaxed and awake, feels no pain and can talk to the doctor. The whole procedure usually takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the extent of the correction. The surgeon removes the excess tissue and reshapes the labia into a symmetrical, natural shape and size. Gentle techniques are used that minimise scarring and preserve the sensitivity and natural function of the intimate area. The incisions are placed so that they are practically invisible once healed.
Recovery after labiaplasty
Recovery takes about 1 week. For the first 3–5 days we recommend rest, cooling the intimate area, loose clothing and careful hygiene. After 7–10 days most women return to their normal routine. Sexual abstinence is recommended for 4–6 weeks, in some cases up to 8 weeks.
A long-lasting result and its benefits
The result of labiaplasty is permanent — the corrected labia keep their new shape, size and symmetry for life. The removed tissue does not grow back, so the original elongation or asymmetry does not return.
After labiaplasty, women most often describe the following changes, which fundamentally affect their everyday well-being:
- Much greater comfort during sport
- No more pain, pulling or discomfort during intercourse
- More freedom in choosing clothes — no worries about leggings or tight underwear
- A marked boost in self-confidence and a more natural-looking intimate area
