MUDr. Jiří Rezek

I was born in Pilsen and have remained faithful to it – I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University and today I work at the Faculty Hospital in Pilsen. My parents chose my name, but I chose the path to medicine myself. I enjoy the precision and responsibility that a doctor's job brings, even though I sometimes look very thoughtful. They say that I am meticulous, sarcastic and that I have a sense of humor – especially the incorrect one.
I am looking for balance in my life. Medicine is my profession and calling, but in my private life I like to relax with good music, most often film music, books, sci-fi stories and a cup of fine coffee. I will not refuse a gin & tonic, good food or anything that has the chance to become a small pleasure of the day.

My goal is not only to endure and "survive", but above all to not collapse unnecessarily and to take things in perspective. I believe that humor, even a little sarcastic, is as important as expertise and that without balance, medicine and life would not make sense.
