Sunken cheeks
Sunken cheeks are among the common signs of facial ageing, yet people talk about them less than abou...
The desire to look fresh and youthful is not only about fighting wrinkles. It is about the overall impression the face creates – its volume, firmness and skin colour. Modern aesthetic medicine today offers gentle methods that influence these parameters without surgery and a long recovery.
Facial ageing, which among other things manifests itself in wrinkles, is caused by a combination of three factors: loss of tissue volume, loss of skin firmness and repeated movements of the mimetic muscles. It is precisely the understanding of this combination that determines which method will be most effective for your face.
Mimetic wrinkles arise from muscle movement, typically on the forehead or around the eyes. Static wrinkles and sunken areas such as the cheeks or nasolabial folds arise from the loss of collagen and fat compartments. Loss of elasticity and the natural glow of the skin is linked, among other things, to lower hydration, a reduced amount of collagen and elastin and slowed renewal of skin cells. Each of these manifestations requires a different treatment method.

For a younger and fresher face we use four main methods: BTX, hyaluronic acid fillers, polynucleotides and bioremodelling. Each targets a different cause of ageing and they often complement one another.
A brief overview of what each method addresses:
Combining these methods according to your specific needs brings a more natural and longer-lasting result than relying on a single procedure alone. We recommend having a treatment plan proposed at a consultation according to your face.

Aesthetic procedures work best in combination with healthy habits that slow skin ageing on their own. Without them the result of some treatments may be less pronounced or less long-lasting.
A key role is played by daily protection with a sunscreen of adequate SPF, because UV radiation is among the main causes of premature skin ageing. Equally important are a sufficient drinking regime and quality sleep, which support overnight skin regeneration, and a balanced diet rich in proteins, antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids.
The result is further positively influenced by limiting smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, because both habits accelerate collagen loss. Alongside a targeted aesthetic treatment, a healthy lifestyle supports a healthy appearance of the skin and contributes to the long-term maintenance of the result.
Rejuvenation methods can be suitable for adult clients of various ages, from preventive care to addressing more pronounced changes in more mature skin. The choice of a specific combination is adapted to the condition of the skin and the individual goals of the client.
Treatment is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of an acute skin infection in the treated area or in the case of an allergy to the substance used. Before the procedure a consultation therefore always takes place, at which the doctor assesses the state of health and proposes a safe method or combination of methods.
Looking younger today does not mean reaching for the scalpel straight away. Modern aesthetic medicine offers gentle methods that can restore freshness to the face without surgery, a long recovery and visible scars.
Moreover, the result does not have to look artificial or conspicuous. The aim of a correctly chosen procedure is to smooth wrinkles, restore lost volume or improve skin quality so that those around you primarily notice a fresher and younger appearance, not the procedure itself. It is precisely this natural, discreet effect that is the most sought-after in aesthetic medicine in the long term.
If you want to look naturally younger, a consultation with our doctor will help you find the method tailored precisely to your skin. At the consultation we will discuss the condition of your skin, your expectations and what you want to achieve with the procedure, and together we will find a solution with which you will be satisfied in the long term.
It depends on the signs of ageing of your face. Most often a hyaluronic acid filler or biostimulation helps. The exact method is determined by the doctor at the consultation.
Ideally already around the age of thirty, when collagen production begins to slow down naturally. Timely care brings a better long-term result.
BTX and fillers show the final result within one to two weeks. Polynucleotides and bioremodelling take effect gradually over several weeks.
BTX lasts 3 to 8 months, a filler six to eighteen months. Polynucleotides and bioremodelling last six to twelve months, with a maintenance treatment once or twice a year.
Minimally, because they consist of small injections with a thin needle or cannula and are well tolerated even without anaesthesia. In more sensitive areas an anaesthetic cream or local anaesthetic at the cannula insertion site is used. Mild redness after the procedure subsides within one to two days.
