Wrinkle fillers, wrinkle removal

As we age, aging of the skin occurs. It is caused by the weakening of the elastic fibers of the skin, the loss of collagen and connective tissue in the middle layer of the skin. The skin loses its elasticity and firmness and becomes more prone to wrinkles. In addition to these endogenous factors, external influences such as UV radiation, our facial expressions, the quality of our diet, smoking and sleeping patterns also contribute to the formation of wrinkles.

Wrinkles are most often formed on exposed parts of the body such as the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Static wrinkles are caused by the natural aging of the skin and the action of gravity, in contrast to mimic wrinkles, the main cause of which is the dynamics of the muscles under the skin, combined with the decreasing elasticity of the skin.

We distinguish different types of wrinkles:

  • wrinkles on the forehead: horizontal wrinkles that are created by the expression of the forehead.
  • glabellar wrinkles: between the eyebrows, above the bridge of the nose, in an area called the glabella, one or more vertical wrinkles often form, nicknamed the frown line, because they give us a frowning expression.
  • crows feet: also referred to as crow's feet, these are fine mimic wrinkles in the shape of a fan in the area of the outer corner of the eye.
  • nasolabial wrinkles: wrinkles leading from the nose to the mouth, the so-called nasolabial folds.
  • marionette lines: run from the corners of the mouth towards the chin and cause an older "grandma" look.
  • smoker's lines: although not exclusively the domain of smokers, the fine vertical lines above or even below the lower lip are called "smoker's lines". They also do not add to our appearance, which is why we often try to smooth them out.

Skin aging and the formation of wrinkles is a process that is part of our lives and that no one can completely stop. However, we can slow it down. Wondering how to get rid of wrinkles?

Home care to reduce the formation of wrinkles

We can reduce the formation of wrinkles ourselves in several ways:

  • regular skin care and daily routine using quality cosmetic products
  • balanced diet, rich in vitamins and important nutrients
  • absence of smoking
  • regular and sufficient sleep

Wrinkle reduction through aesthetic dermatology

Thanks to extensive biomedical and pharmaceutical research and development, we now have many ways to smooth wrinkles and improve skin texture and skin quality. The field of aesthetic medicine options is wide, so every client has a chance to find a wrinkle treatment option that is ideal for him.

Wrinkle fillers with hyaluronic acid

Injectable fillers are among the constants among wrinkle reduction methods. Hyaluronic acid, which is applied with a thin needle into the subcutaneous tissue, fills the wrinkle with its own volume and at the same time keeps the skin hydrated for a long time thanks to its ability to bind water.

Depending on the type of wrinkles, the quality of the skin, the area where we apply, and the indication, we use hyaluronic acid of different molecular weight, cross-linked or non-cross-linked. We often combine different types of hyaluronic acid to achieve an overall optimal result. If we perform more complex facial modeling and correction using dermal fillers, it is a so-called liquid lifting or Liquid lifting.

Smoothing wrinkles using neurotoxins (BTX preparations)

Preparations containing neurotoxins (BTX preparations) have a very effective effect on mimic wrinkles. Thanks to them, we can partially and temporarily block the movement of facial muscles, thereby preventing the appearance of wrinkles. At the same time, by restricting the activity of the facial muscles, they are relaxed, and thus to a certain extent the skin is smoothed and the wrinkles that have already formed disappear.

The active substance in BTX products is used in various medical fields and, traditionally, for its properties, also in aesthetic medicine. It can limit the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is responsible for tensing the facial muscles (or also limit the stimulation of the sweat and sebaceous glands) and thus block the transmission of impulses between the nerve cell and the muscle. As a result, the muscles relax and the skin becomes smoother and tighter.

If the doctor uses an appropriate dose, the result of BTX treatment is very natural. Thus, patients do not have to worry about excessive restriction of facial expressions, which only occurs if BTX is applied incorrectly or in too large a quantity.

Deeper wrinkles or furrows in certain cases cannot be removed simply by applying neurotoxin. To fill them, it is sometimes necessary to combine neurotoxins with other methods, such as fillings with hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite or bioremodeling.

Intensive skin hydration

In order for the skin to maintain its elasticity, it must receive hydration and a sufficient amount of collagen. There are aesthetic dermatology procedures that stimulate collagen production and intensively hydrate the skin. These include, for example, bioremodeling, mesotherapy or the application of skin boosters.

The especially effective Bioremodeling method has a very positive effect on the quality of the skin:

  • improves skin structure
  • it remodels the deep layers of the skin and lifts the soft tissues
  • reduces wrinkles
  • increases the elasticity of the skin
  • deeply hydrates
  • stimulates the formation of collagen and elastin fibers
  • generally strengthens the skin

Instant skin lifting - calcium hydroxyapatite and HA

By combining various active substances, we obtain extensive possibilities for improving the quality of the skin and reducing wrinkles. Calcium hydroxyapatite together with hyaluronic acid injected into the skin can restore tissue volume and at the same time support collagen formation. Thanks to this, we achieve not only the smoothing of wrinkles, but also the closing of the skin and the lifting of sagging parts. The tone of the skin improves and it then looks fresh and younger.

Other anti-aging treatments that can reduce or completely smooth out wrinkles include:

  • laser treatment
  • chemical peeling
  • microneedling - microneedling
  • radiofrequency skin treatment methods
  • microdermabrasion
  • application of blood plasma to the skin
