The preparation specifically blocks the nerve impulse to specific facial muscles, which then relax and the skin over them naturally smoothes out. The first changes are noticeable within 3-7 days, the full effect comes within 10-14 days and, with the correct dosage, lasts 3-8 months. In addition, regular repetition gradually reduces muscle activity, thanks to which wrinkles do not deepen and the intervals between treatments are often extended.
Hyaluronic acid is an ideal complement to treatment for deeper static wrinkles, which remain visible even when at rest. It is applied directly into the crease or under the skin in the area, where it immediately adds volume, fills the depression and smoothes the skin surface. The result is visible immediately after the procedure – the skin looks fresher, more rested and the wrinkle is significantly reduced or completely filled. The effect gradually stabilizes within 1-2 weeks as the material fully integrates into the tissue. With the right technique, it lasts 6-18 months, sometimes longer, depending on the individual metabolism and lifestyle.
For medium-deep to pronounced expression wrinkles that are visible even at rest, we achieve the best and most natural results by combining BTX with hyaluronic acid filler. How the procedure is performed and what to expect after the treatment
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis directly in the office, does not require hospitalization or a long recovery. The entire process usually takes a few minutes. Our doctor will first carefully examine the problematic area, such as the glabella, forehead, area around the eyes, assess the depth of the wrinkle, the strength of the facial muscles, the condition of the skin and of course your ideas about the result. Based on this analysis, she will suggest the optimal dose of BTX, a possible combination with a filler and the exact application procedure.
The BTX application itself is performed using a very thin needle - injections are applied to precisely defined points that cause the wrinkle. If the procedure also includes hyaluronic acid filler, it is applied either with a fine needle or, even more gently, with a cannula, which minimizes the risk of bruising. The procedure is quick and most clients describe it as very well tolerated.
Both preparations are not applied to the same place at the same time. If a combination of both methods is needed, we usually start with BTX application and after its full effect has begun (at least after two weeks) we continue with hyaluronic acid application.
After the treatment, there may be slight redness, slight swelling or sensitivity at the injection site - these symptoms are completely normal and usually subside by the second day.
For the first 4 hours after the procedure, we recommend avoiding lying down and tilting the head forward, and for several days, intense sports, saunas, hot showers or facial massages to prevent the preparation from spreading to the surrounding muscles. Hyaluronic acid filler is visible immediately - it provides rapid smoothing of the furrow.
