Removal of sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

BTX sweat removal addresses situations where significant excessive sweating limits your normal activities and puts you in situations that are socially uncomfortable. It is a routine, safe and almost painless procedure that allows us to reduce the activity of the sweat glands in the problem areas and thus reduce sweating.

Excessive sweating

The technical name hyperrosis refers to a condition where there is a disproportionately increased secretion of sweat. A person suffering from excessive sweating sweats significantly more than is needed for normal body thermoregulation. Common antiperspirants do not work, and wet stains on clothes in the armpits, on the back, wet palms or wet soles of the feet lead to social difficulties, stressful situations and can often lead to psychological problems.

In which parts does excessive sweating occur most often?

Common parts of the body that suffer from excessive sweating are the armpits, back, feet or hands. There are more sweat glands in these places. They produce high doses of sweat even in situations where the body is not exposed to heat or intense sports load.

Options for eliminating excessive sweating

We usually use antiperspirants, products in solid form or in the form of a spray, which we apply on the surface directly to the skin. Another option is iontophoresis, in which the sweat glands are blocked using very fine electrical pulses. Laser or surgical removal of sweat glands represents a more invasive form of solving unpleasant excessive sweating.

At the Hello Beauty Clinic in Pilsen, we offer the removal of sweating using effective BTX injection therapy. It is effective and fast, belongs to common procedures, minimally risky, requires complex preparation and recovery is also easy

Why choose sweat removal with BTX

  • effective
  • fast
  • minimally invasive
  • after the procedure without major restrictions and lengthy recovery

Before treating Hyperhidrosis

If you decide to treat hyperhidrosis with BTX, it is important to choose an educated doctor and a workplace that has experience with the procedure. This treatment is carried out by MUDr. Eva Boháčová, BTX application specialist. During the consultation, the doctor will find out if you are a suitable candidate for the elimination of sweating with BTX.

The course of sweat removal

We apply BTX after previously anesthetizing the treated area with either cooling or anesthetic ointment. Due to this, the application was not. Finally, you will receive several injections of small doses of active substances with a fine needle. These block the nerve endings that transmit the signal to the sweat glands and thus significantly reduce sweating. The procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes. It will take the next few days for BTX to take effect and you will sweat less in the affected area.

What other difficulties can BTX solve?

  • removal of mimic wrinkles (on the forehead, between the eyebrows, on the nose, around the eyes, mouth)
  • elimination of excessive sweating
  • migraine relief
  • treatment of blepharospasm (excessive blinking)
  • alleviation of painful spasms (withdrawal) of muscles after paralysis, injuries
  • treatment of overactive bladder (frequent urge to urinate)

How long does BTX sweat removal last?

On average, you can count on BTX application to resolve your excessive sweating for 6 to 12 months. Over time, the effect of BTX wears off and the sweat glands return to their original activity. However, the treatment can be repeated to restore the BTX effect.

Harmful removal of sweating

The activity of the sweat glands is blocked only for a limited time and only in selected parts. Sweating is preserved on other parts of the body, which is enough for the necessary thermoregulation of the body. Limiting sweating therefore does not pose any health risks.

How to behave after treatment

Recovery of major limitations. Practically immediately after applying BTX injections, you can return to your normal regime. You should avoid vigorous sports for at least 2 days after treatment. Avoid the sauna or solarium.

The application site may be temporarily reddened or sensitive to the touch. Rarely, bruising may occur. However, these symptoms disappear in a short time.

“There are several treatment options for hyperhidrosis. One of them is the BTX application. If you suffer from hyperhidrosis, we will be happy to help you improve your quality of life and get rid of excessive sweating."
